The end of day 2

Today was fine. I'm kind of moody and I've been hungry all day. I lost one pound though :) on to the sick herbal tea now....

Day 4

Yesterday was terrible. I was so very very ornery and starving...still. I had a mild headache all day that was almost unbearable last night. When I woke up this morning, it was gone, thankfully. this time around is so different from the last time. Last time I slept so good all night long, had great energy, and was in a great mood. This time has been really hard. It's hard enough to not have eaten for 4 days and not see one pound lost. I was unable to do the salt water flush yesterday morning because my kids had a play date (shucks) but I think that's the reason that I feel so nauseated today. Trying to drink salt water when you're already nauseated is a joke. after 3 swallows I about lost it, but was able to chug 10 more gulps. I only need about 20 more gulps to be done. This is DEFINITELY the hardest part. You can probably tell that my disposition is much different from the last cleanse... I told Zack that if I was still being as mean and ornery as I have been, then I would stop.

Phase 2: The Master Cleanse

Hello everyone, I know that I was really bad at blogging about my last adventure, and I hope to be better this time. By nightfall I'm exhausted and am asleep within 3 minutes.
My measurements today, January 16th, 2012 The last adventure was 4 1/2 months ago.
Weight: 195 (that's 10 lbs still off!!!)
Waist: 43" (Still less!)
Hips/Butt: 45 1/2" (yes, still less)

I don't really care about measuring my thighs, because I know they will get smaller too.
So this morning, I did the salt water flush. It was hard to get it down, and I almost lost it. As I gagged, my sweet Ryker looked at me with a concerned face and said "Mommy...?" But I got it down, all of it. About an hour later, the inevitable happened..then again, then again, then again... about 5 times. I am SOO grateful to Zack's cousin Maridee who suggested that I put the cayenne pepper into capsules because this would be completely miserable without that tip. The Drink is just as gross as I remember it being last time, but when Ryker finds it, he guzzles it. He loves it.
I'm pretty hungry today. A lot I'm sure is in my head as I fix around 5 meals a day. I told Zack that if he wasn't going to do this with me then he'll have to be in charge of making the meals. He has done great so far.
Tonight, I will finish out the day with the cardboard tasting herbal laxative tea. I'm looking VERY forward to my glowing skin, great mood, super flat tummy and of course the pounds that have no choice but to melt off. My goal this time is to cleanse until I've dropped 20 pounds... and if not, 10 days (the usual time) will be great, dropping 12-14 pounds.
Thank you to my followers, and especially my cousin Alaina for encouraging me to do this again. I'm really looking forward to getting my body back after 4 years of babies.
I'm really happy to know that the weight I lost has stayed off. I have changed nothing about my diet, and I still don't exercise (like normal people, not moms). Therefore, I contribute this weight to stress!

Please keep me motivated! I can do it and I will feel great while I do it as long as I drink, drink, drink, drink! Love ya!

Day 3

I woke up this morning without a headache, and it's 9:22am , and I still don't have one! I did my salt water flush at about 8:40, and I'm not looking forward to the aftermath. Luckily I have Zack here to take care of the kids while I'm running to the bathroom. Today, I'm not looking at food like I want to eat it anymore. I even made french toast and scrambled eggs for Zack and the kids for breakfast, and didn't get the urge to take a bite. That's really nice. I was wanting it bad the last 2 days, but never gave in. It's just nice to not be tempted. I think I'm going to buy the Master cleanse book called Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days. Just for the tricks and complete rules. If anyone would like to borrow it when I'm done, please let me know. I decided this morning that I want to loose 20 lbs before my trip. I will go until September 26, which will be 24 days. Think I can do it?

End of day 3

No headache!!! Still not hungry either. I want to eat food because thay's what we do.... We went to a family dinner tonight and there were funeral potatoes (my FAVORITE), korean chicken, a yummy looking salad that I made, watermelon and rolls. And to top it off...cheesecake! I was going to take just one bite, but I didn't do it! There was a guy ere who had done it before, only for 2 days, but still expressed how amazing he felt after he was done. He lost 10 lbs in 2 days and I haven't even lost 1 lb in 3 days! He encouraged me to keep at it and was proud of me. Zack has been incredibly sweet and said that I look amazing tonight. He's so proud of me for not complaining about being hungry and I admitted to him that I honestly wasn't even hungry. I did get pretty shakey today. It's hard to drink the "lemonade" often. I will just chug it every now and then, but it's just gross. I'm just so happy that my headache is gone!

Day 2

Up early this morning to get this yucky morning over with. Zack has to film 4 football games today and I'm always there with him. I drank my salt water flush at 6:30 am. I don't think I mentioned last night but I had a moderate headache for many many hours. I also fell asleep at about 8ish and I slept really good. Zack was up all night coming in and out and I still went right back to sleep even with my headache. I didn't dare take any meds because my body is trying to get rid of all of the crap inside. I put on a little peppermint essential oil, but other than the smell, it didn't help at all. The tea was pretty bad. I even added a little bit of honey, but it still tasted like cardboard with fennel, which I'm really sensitive to. Luckily 8 oz is a very small amount and my body liked the warmth of it and really put me right to sleep. I have a little cramping this morning and have a really bad back ache that is shooting pain down my left leg. No fun.
I will definitely put the cayenne pepper into 4 capsules today. I'm planning on the drink being 100% better without the pepper taste. Heck, maybe I can go longer than 5 days!

End of day 2:
Today has been great! I wasn't hungry at all, and I seemed to have more energy. I did however have a headache all day which got worse as the night went on. I've read about headaches during the master cleanse and it said that you'll get them because your body is detoxifying fast and also that you can get them if you were addicted to caffeine, which I wasn't. It went away sometime after midnight. Again I slept really good. Not as good as the first night, but still. The "lemonade" is so much better (obviously) without the cayenne pepper added into it. Just a warning though... I kept forgetting to take my capsules, and so at the end of the day with my last drink, I took 3 capsules.... DO NOT DO THIS! It felt like a fireball in my stomach. I felt terrible.

End of day 1...

I am so tired!!! I'm not sure if it's because I haven't gotten energy from food or if it's because of my foot zone. I'm not starving, which is nice although I want to eat everything in sight. The drink is absolutely HORRIBLE. My foot zoner said to put the cayenne pepper into a capsule and take it throughout the day. Great idea because that's what makes it almost unbearable. I shudder for about a minute after I take a huge guzzle. Zack is sweet and said that I look like I've already lost weight, obviously having not. I still have 1 1/2 more glasses to drink, then the herbal laxative tea. I'm hoping to sleep good tonight but I guarantee I'll be dreaming about food.

My Master Cleanse Adventure

WARNING: This is told as it is and it's not pretty!

So today is the first day of my Master cleanse. For those of you who don't know what the Master cleanse is, it is a total body makeover/ weight loss cleanse. You start the day with a salt water flush: 32 oz lukewarm water with 2 tsp sea salt. Then throughout the day, drink a combination of lemon juice, grade b maple syrup and cayenne pepper with water. You drink 60 ounces of that mixture a day, plus any extra water that you want, but NOTHING else. You end the day with an organic herbal laxative tea. They recommend that you start out with a 5 day cleanse, then you can do a 10-14 day cleanse. I'm starting with 5 to see how it goes. I also bought my grade B maple syrup on Amazon.com. It was $20 cheaper than Gregory's Wheat shop in Bountiful. If you want more info on getting the best price, let me know. There are many, many "said" benefits with this cleanse which include:
Gained energy and vitality; Better regularity and digestion; Cleansing of the whole body, not just the colon; Can assist the body in stabilizing blood sugar and lowering blood pressure; Greater joint flexibility, less pain, better sleep, and better relaxation, A reduction of inflammation, pain, digestive disorders, and lethargy; A reduction of mucus in the body (less congestion), help with allergies, asthma, and acne; Creating a balanced pH environment that is less hospitable to disease; Clearer thinking for a healthier and happier disposition; Help with improving mental problems and depression; Feeling vibrant and looking radiant w/ glowing skin; Drug detoxification and a cleaner bloodstream; Improved sense of smell and taste. Help with past food sensitivities and food allergies; An enhanced immune system giving assistance with many ailments from A to Z; Renewed taste buds with an appreciation and appetite for healthier and simpler foods; Conditions that generally respond well to fasting in general and a truly healthy diet are rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, psoriasis, eczema, asthma, lupus, uterine fibroids, colitis, headaches, and aging!

Day 1
I'm spilling it all out. I have had 3 kids in 3 years and that is my excuse!
Weight: 205 lbs
Waist: 44.5"
Thighs: L: 27.5" R: 26.5"
Booty: 47"

8:30 am, salt water flush. It's hard enough to drink 32 ounces of anything all at once, but ESPECIALLY when it's warm, and freakin salt water. I just thought to myself that I had to chug it. The first few swallows were so horrible (as you can imagine) but I just kept going. I am using a hospital mug, they have measurements so you don't have to guess. Those big straws really help. One big gulp is about an ounce, so I just counted the whole time. It says to stay in the house (or VERY close to a restroom) for the next 2 hours. They are not kidding, this is a FLUSH. Now comes the super gross part... much to be expected with this kind of thing... Half an hour later (on the dot) I was running to the bathroom, then twice more within the next 10 minutes and it just keeps coming. Now here is a gross yet very important tip... when you feel the urge to go, GO! Don't wait! I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow with the salt water flush AND the laxative tea......
I'm going to mix up my lemon syrup mix in a minute. It says to drink it whenever you're hungry or thirsty.
I will do another update tonight. I'm getting a foot zone today to help things along and hopefully I won't have to cancel due to my recent love for the bathroom :)

Sweet Boy

On Wednesday, June 24th Zack and I checked into the hospital at 7:30 am. They hooked me up with IV fluids and pitocin right away. The doctor came in at 9 and broke my water. The contractions started soon after that. I had an epidural at about 10:30, and out he came at 11:13 am. It was fast and easy! Much different than with Peyton... 12 1/2 hours... The doctor told us that he would be 7 1/2-8 lbs but he was just 6 lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long. He has dark hair and dark skin. He is such a stud! My epidural didn't wear off until about 4 pm so they made me stay in bed that whole time. When I finally got up, blood went all over the floor and I didn't stop bleeding for the next 4 hours. The nurses were running all around and yelling at each other arguing about what needed to be done to help me. It was crazy. I ended up needing a blood transfusion. I was given 2 units of blood, leaving me 5 units short. They told me that it would take up to 3 months to fully recover and build my blood back up. As soon as all of the blood was in me, I felt so much better. 2 days later, I was released. It's nice to be a mom to my sweet Peyton again. Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts.
